An efficient spreader, Covid-19 spreads when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It is believed that it can also be spread from contact with contaminated surfaces and airborne droplets . Where it can live for a period of time, depending upon the surface, and air flow.


Keers has developed a CDC (Centers for disease control) recommended protocol for disinfecting facilities as follows:

  1. Spraying and hand wiping of non-porous surfaces using CDC approved disinfectants
  2. Fogging of porous surfaces using CDC approved disinfectants.
  3. HEPA filtered air-scrubbing using 2000 CFM negative-air pressure machines during all disinfecting activities.
  4. If necessary, HEPA filtered cleaning of HVAC air-duct system.
  5. If necessary, carpet cleaning using CDC approved disinfectants.
  6. All workers wear personal protective equipment to include: air-purifying respirators with appropriate cartridges, Tyvek disposal suits and gloves, rubber boots, eye protection.
  7. Cleanup and disposal of all contaminated debris and disposable PPE as special waste.
