About Us

After relocating from Minnesota in the 1950s, Robert (Bob) Keers launched his painting company in New Mexico in 1960. At that time, he was broke and had to borrow the money he and his wife had saved for their child to get his business started from the back of the family station wagon.

The company thrived and expanded throughout the 60s and 70s, leading the way in several groundbreaking technologies of the time, including sprayed insulation, sandblasting, and various coatings.

In the early 1980s, leveraging our expertise in personal protective equipment and dust management, our company was selected to undertake one of the nation’s first asbestos abatement projects. As the need for environmental remediation services grew, we transitioned from a paint company to founding Keers, positioning ourselves to meet this emerging demand.

Despite the change in ownership and our new name, Keers current management remains dedicated to upholding the tradition of quality services, fair pricing, regulatory compliance, and meticulous attention to detail that our founders established.
